Yesterday I accompanied my son’s Cub Scout troop to the Gold Coast Railroad Museum, which is located right near the Miami Metro Zoo. It’s a great place to take kids-even adults will find it interesting – a place where time stands still.

FDR and Elanor Roosevelt crisscrossed Wartime America in this very car, giving speeches in small towns everywhere. Truman and Eisenhower also used the car before the switchover to Air Force One.

As many of you have heard by now , a cop-shooter is on the loose, after gunning down four officers ,killing one , in Cutler Ridge,early this afternoon. He was last spotted in Central Broward heading north, accompanied by a woman and two children. Read The Herald for continual updates.

A snapshot of dinner preparations the other evening. With year round grilling here in Miami, lots of steak is consumed. Even with all the fancy food chains moving in, Publix still has the best sirloin. Two inches thick, cooked about eight minutes on each side makes for juicy rare perfection.
