Fickle SoFla Sports Fans
Growing up a direhard sports fan in the Northeast has truly revealed that South Florida has some of the most fickle, bandwagon jumping fans in the nation. Case in point. The Miami Heat. I attended a game over the Christmas break on a weekend night and the AAA was barely half-full. I know the naysayers will say that many people were out of town. Hello, the Heat won the NBA championship less than 6 months ago. Tickets should be sold out for the next few years. I understand the team is not playing well but show some loyalty please. Don’t worry Shaq will awake from his slumber in March and the team will start gelling enough to make the playoffs. Should I even begin to talk about the Marlins? The Chicago Cubs haven’t won a World Series since before World War I and they average at least 10 times more fans than the Marlins and the Marlins have won 2 World Series after less than 15 years in existance.

Please support our sports teams. I’m sure if you lived in Topeka, Kansas, you would die for at least 1 major league sports team. We have 4 teams. Let’s not take for granted what we have.
