White Collar Running
Ok, I know this is about a bit late, but the soreness on my leg muskles has just begun to subside, once again allowing my fingers free and almost fully automated motion over the keyboard.
No, I didn’t win a Mercedez but I did take home a free Mercedez-Benz 2006 Corporate Run t-shirt, a stomach full of food, memories of the uneasy and sticky warmth buiding up within the crowds while waiting for the race to start, and yes, the b.o. -someone had jambalaya for lunch.
All in all, I was glad to be there for my coworker’s yearly workout and happy that I could wrangle some money from the big guys at corporate for the benefit of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. So, aside from severely overestimating my running time (and the sore reminder of it), I thoroughly enjoyed the event.
