Presidential Phone Cam Pic

I shot this pic with my phone at President Bush’s speech on Free Trade a couple of weeks ago. Foreign trade is what makes the Miami , and consequently the USA economy expand at such a rapid pace. Know – nothing politicians seeking votes and their accomplices in the press often drown out reality with rhetoric. It sometimes seems our President , Florida Governors and Miami officials are the only politicians who understand the value of Free Trade.

when you say free trade, you mean the definition that disregards government subsidies to the American agriculture industry, of course.

Indeed I do. I mean getting rid of all governmental interference.

Trade is great if it flows both ways with a reasonable balance. “Free trade” has not worked that but rather we have seen a growing trade deficit over the past twenty five years. Expansion of “free trade” has only increased the trade deficit but the elites in both parties (who are really “Citizens of the World” not loyal Americans) still love the concept.

Our industrial capacity as a nation is disappearing and that should be a concern if only from a national security standpoint. China has become a major economic and military power thanks to “free trade.” Enjoy “free trade” as the Chinese drill for oil off the coast of Cuba and our children live like serfs.

The American middle class standard of living is declining thanks to the great ideas like “free trade”, outsourcing, union busting and “trickle down” economics.
