Let’s Flood Their Inboxes, That’ll Teach ‘Em To Mess With The Bloggers

As Franklin pointed out here I’ve been removed from my dorm room for a series of postings on my blog. The first of which linked to a two year old rap song by UMiami football players. Somehow it ended up in a ESPN.com piece of questionable journalism with my name in the article. The hate-IMs started pouring in, and to poke fun at the over reaction I posted a suicide note in farce. To make a long story short I’m being kicked out of my dorm for mental health reasons.

There’s a lot of people sending emails to the Dean I dealt with. Here’s his contact info from miami.edu if you’d like to send a quick message.

You can email Dean William Sandler: wsandler@miami.edu

President Shalala: dshalala@miami.edu

Howard Simon (aclu fl): aclufl@aclufl.org

It seems, not surprisingly a lot of blogs are making similar posts on my behalf including: DeadSpin, Critical Miami, and the UM_Canes LJ Comm. It seems everyone is behind me, well almost everyone.

“Somehow it ended up in a ESPN.com piece of questionable journalism with my name in the article.”

Nice one jerkoff, except for the fact that you supplied them with the information after they asked you for it because you claimed you didn’t think it was such a big deal.

You seem like an intelligent person so the “I didn’t know” excuse won’t work. Appologize for the screw up and transfer to FSU.

    Ca Jones-

I was referring to the fact that Pat Forde wrote both a news story and an opinion piece at the same time, instantly putting a spin on the story. If you actually read the piece you’ll see I’m quoted as defending the football team.

I did appologize for posting the song.

Furthermore the issue is no longer about the song, but about student’s rights and due process and other self-important shit like that. Blaming me for the embarassment to the football team is so last week.

Kyle: This entire affair reminds me why UM sports fans are reviled in Miami. Most Miamians would rather host an Outlaws block party than a ‘Canes tailgate party.

    Remember, Hurricanes Uber Alles.

Oh, it’s Howard Simon, by the way, not Simon Howard.

Thanks for the appology, now when can we expect to see that transfer?

Luckily most students here aren’t total morons like you, so I think I’ll stay.
